Ledig Erf

Ledig Erf is loved by locals. Nestled between the Oudegracht and the Singel, it is surrounded by water and known for it's sunny terraces.

Ledig Erf has a centuries-old history, and many of its surround buildings can be found on the monuments list. For instance, the building that houses arthouse cinema Louis Hartlooper was once a police station. The square can be found at the heart of the Museum District, a stone's throw away from Utrecht's famous museums. It's the ideal place to grab some lunch or enjoy drinks or dinner after a long day of strolling through Utrecht. 

Order yourself a craft beer and typically Dutch and loved by locals bitterballen at Café Ledig Erf, then go for dinner at Eetcafé de Poort. Be sure to get yourself a table outside on the bridge or by the window, so as to enjoy the great view of the Oudegracht!
